My name is Desi Mills and I first started to learn the piano at the age of five. From the age of ten I attended the Dobri Hristov music school and attained a Masters degree under the speciality "Musical Pedagogy" from the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. I was in addition granted the qualification of teacher of music, (specialising in piano), in kindergarten, primary and secondary schools.
I have played solo concerts, participated in national festivals and have won prizes from national and regional competitions. For many years I taught piano and music theory in various educational establishments in Bulgaria. For the last five years I have taught piano and music theory to students of all ages at a musical school in London.
Through my teaching activities I always endeavour to apply the latest techniques and advances in the practice and principles of piano teaching; this is evidenced through the excellent results of my students. My lessons are always entertaining and interesting as I hope to draw out respect and a love of music.
I have been fully checked by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and can show my certificate on request.
